Dr. Slepain serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Grafted Growers. 

Dr. Slepian is a highly successful entrepreneur and strategic intellectual property innovator.  He maintains board guidance  and intellectual property management  for the organization as well as provides guidance regarding the development of novel systems and facilitation of IP protection strategies.   In parallel with duties at Grafted Growers, he presently directs the strategic direction of established ventures in several high growth areas. In addition to his highly successful clinical, research and entrepreneurial career, Dr. Slepian is a prolific inventor with more than 75 issued and filed patents and has been the founder of numerous companies including FOCAL (NASDAQ), Endotex, Angiotrax, Hansen Medical (NASDAQ), Arsenal, 480 BioMedical, MC10 and SynCardia.  In 2016 he was named to the national Academy of Inventors and In 2019 he was selected as a Regent Professor and the DaVinci Fellow of the UA College of Engineering, two of the most prestigious academic awards in the state of Arizona.
